I am constantly creating and entering content/photos for this section. Basically, this page deals with some other outlets of my creativity. As an artist and pack rat, I like to experiment with different materials and methods of creating art. I believe that it is in this experimentation with a diversity of materials that has helped shape my approach to Lutherie (building musical instruments). To make a long story short: My art influences my Lutherie, and my Lutherie influences my art.

"Trike" 2002. This is a tricycle I constructed out of all sorts of trash parts found around Isla Vista, CA. Most of the pieces are made from modified bicycle parts that were found washed ashore following various weekends in 2001. In case you didn't know . . . people in I.V., mainly "substance influenced" guys, like to experiment with the effects of bicycles and 50 vertical feet of ocean front cliff, so if you are a junk collector like me it is a prime parts free for all. The handlebars are from an ab crunch machine found in a dumpster, and I added an additional seat to the front for passengers to ride facing the person pedaling. It is a little tricky to ride, but that is half the fun and works as a pretty good theft protection device.
